MIKE AND DIANE FEROLA’S 1967 STINGRAY

The timingtower.com pick for 2022 at the Western Nats in Bakersfield, CA is Mike and Diane Ferola’s 1967 Corvette Stingray.

Most would agree that the 1963-1967 Stingray coupe is one of the best-looking Corvettes.  Add a healthy 427 engine and it is a real winner.  Mike Ferola recognized this in 1981, purchased our feature car and has owned it for 41 years.  Originally sold at Three-way Chevrolet in Bakersfield, Mike is the second owner and the car now has 79,000 miles.

Mike has increased the power of the 427 with a roller cam with a .612 lift and roller rockers.  The car has the original M21 Muncie 4-speed transmission and 3.70 limited slip posi differential.

Originally Goodwood green, Mike changed the color to a deep, metallic red which really pops with the white hood spear.  The 17-inch billet Rallye wheels have an original appearance but with much more luster.

Mike modified the suspension to lower the car and allow much wider tires in the rear.  The wider tires give the car a well-deserved muscular appearance.

The interior is appears original but is enhanced with a killer sound system.

The car’s exterior is complemented with badging and trim by Chevrolet.

We were pleased to give this exceptional car the timingtower.com award at the 45th Western Street Rod Nationals last weekend.
