1939 Ford Crew Cab

Jennifer Brazil’s 1939 Ford Crew Cab.

This truck took Jennifer’s Dad 17 years to get looking like this and he memorialized this fact on the side of the truck:

Even though it took him awhile, the end result is nothing short of fantastic.  Unfortunately, a few years after the truck was finished Jennifer’s Dad passed away.  However, the truck is now in Jennifer’s hands.

Yreka is painted on the side rail because Jennifer’s Dad grew up in Yreka and he chose a 1939 truck to build because he was born in 1939.  The Yreka Creek Trucking logo is nonetheless, fictional.  This Ford truck is powered by a 289 Ford engine.  But for paint and upholstery, Jennifer’s Dad did all the work on the truck, including stretching the cab.

We are glad Jennifer brought the truck to the Western Nats this year and gave us a chance to name it an award winner.
