HOT ROD/CAR CRAFT CRUISE NIGHT AT THE AUTOMOBILE DRIVING MUSEUM

El Segundo, CA

Cruise nights typically have an informality and freedom (you can come and go when you feel like it, no registration, etc) that makes them a lot of fun. The monthly Hot Rod/Car Craft Cruise Night at the Automotive Driving Museum (ADM) in El Segundo on a warm August night had just that feel. Add in some music and ADM volunteers strolling the area to help park the cars and add some security for those valuable cars, and you had the perfect place to spend a Friday evening, see more than 100 fine cars, and meet friends, old and new.

Since the cruise night runs from 5:00-8:00 pm there were a couple of vendors providing food for those who needed dinner or something to tide them over. The ADM also had snacks, books, shirts, jackets, model kits, and the like for sale to benefit the Museum.

The Hot Rod/Car Craft Cruise Night has been held at the ADM since June 2011. In addition to the cars participating in the cruise night, the ADM remains open to allow people to see the extraordinary cars they have on display.

To read more about the ADM, see this website under Car Shows and scroll down until you find the article about the Museum. A trip through the Museum is well worth the time and on Sundays you can go for a ride in one of the Museum’s old cars.

The cruise nights are held on the last Friday of the month from March through October with Saturday afternoon events held in November and December. The AMD is located at 610 Lairport St., El Segundo, CA. You can contact the Museum for more info at 310-909-0950 or http://www.automobiledrivingmuseum.org/
